I’ll be honest, given the situation in Gaza - we debated whether to proceed with this event or not. However, after praying istikhara, we decided to proceed, not despite what’s happening but because of what’s happening.

The crisis the Ummah is going through is a generational crisis, and as I mentioned in my email on Monday, we need to work towards a long-term solution that would lead to the Ummah’s rise and victory.

The Barakah Effect book talks about foundational mindsets we need as an Ummah to rise again - mindsets such as being slaves of Allah SWT, believing in the unseen potential of things, and working in this world with a hereafter focus.

So yes, maybe this is not the best time to launch the book, but we sincerely believe this is what the Ummah needs. And what better place to start this Barakah movement than in the city of Barakah, Madinah. And Allah knows best.
