From burnout to barakah: Azmina’s story
Al Salam Alaikum,
There’s a unique kind of pressure when you’re a doctor.
The decisions never stop. The mind never rests.
Azmina, a practical medical doctor from Chicago, described it like this:
“My mind was everywhere. My focus was off. I couldn’t think clearly. The pressure was always on.”
She came to the Barakah Effect Program looking for better time management. The idea of shifting away from Hustle Culture to Barakah Culture caught her attention.
But as she moved through the program, she realized- it was so much more than just productivity “tips” and “hacks”.
What Azmina discovered was a path back to Allah.
To her core identify as an Abd of Allah.
To a sense of spiritual presence and purpose.
To a faith-based framework that gave her the clarity and calm she has been missing.
And from there, things began to shift.
She shared the HAQQ Balance framework she was exposed to during the program with a non-Muslim colleague in her hospital.
She started using her commute time and hospital rounds to send salawat upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Small shifts- but in her words, they had an “additive effect.”
They brought stillness. Focus. Peace. And an unshakable sense of direction- even in the chaos of a hospital floor.
Azmina’s story is powerful- but it’s not unique.
If you’ve been feeling the same symptoms- mental fog, constant pressure, a soul-level exhaustion that “productivity hacks” just can’t fix- then this isn’t just her story.
It could be yours, too.
