Assalamu'alaikum,

A few years ago, my eldest son Umair asked me, "Abba, what does Barakah mean?"

At that time, I was finalizing the manuscript for The Barakah Effect book, yet even after all my research, I was stumped and unable to respond to him clearly.

I didn't want to give him a superficial answer like "Barakah is blessings!" Nor a long-winded intellectual response that would go over his head.

I needed to tell him a story...

A Children's Book is Born 

And so, my first children's book "The Barakah Tree" was born - the story of young Kareem, who lives in a small town that slowly loses Barakah as people become too rushed to greet each other with salaam, pray together, or share meals.

Through Kareem's journey with planting a tree, children learn how sincerity, patience, and doing things with ihsaan (excellence) might not bring immediate rewards, but eventually bear the sweetest fruits.

This story is not just for kids, it's for us adults too, reminding us to say bismillah consciously, make sincere intentions, work hard, and trust Allah with the results.
